The reading room of the Rubenianum is freely accessible to all. With a reader’s pass you can submit online requests for books and documentation that you can then study in the reading room. Please take the time to read the reading room regulations before your visit.

General information

The reading room is freely accessible to the general public. Visitors are welcome on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon and from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The reading room is on the first floor of the library at Kolveniersstraat 20. There is a lift for wheelchair users. Information about the location and annual public holidays on which the reading room is closed can be found here

When a document has been requested online, it is fetched and set aside for the visitor in the reading room. It can then be consulted on the premises (works may not be removed from the premises). Recent journals, books and catalogues as well as a number of reference works are freely accessible for consultation.
