“In which parts of Antwerp did all those artists live and work in the 16th and 17th centuries?”

Lecture

A lecture by Dr. Petra Maclot (independent researcher / University of Leuven) on 18 December 2016

In the early modern period, hundreds of artists lived and worked in houses and studios in Antwerp. Some were well-known and sumptuous, such as the famous dwellings of Frans Floris, Rubens and Jordaens. But there was much more to discover, as Dr. Maclot demonstrated on the basis of her interdisciplinary research.

The lecture was held in Dutch.
