To complete the project “Digitizing the Corpus Rubenianum Ludwig Burchard,” (2013–2016), the Rubenianum organized a seminar on the digitization of art publications. The central theme was the transition from printed volumes to multimedia web-based publications, comparable to the Online Scholarly Catalogue Initiative of the Getty Foundation. At this seminar the current cultural landscape was outlined and a number of projects singled out for special attention, with the aim of providing methods and procedures that may serve as examples within the heritage sector.
