About the Rubenianum

Research institute for Flemish art of the 16th and 17th centuries

The rich artistic tradition of the Southern Netherlands encompasses thousands of famous and lesser-known masters. In order to ensure an enduring insight into and appreciation of their work, research and expertise are essential. The Rubenianum collects the relevant knowledge and develops this expertise, and makes them available to professionals as well as to the general public with an interest in cultural heritage.
