The core task of the Centrum Rubenianum is the publication of the Corpus Rubenianum Ludwig Burchard, the multi-volume catalogue of the oeuvre of Rubens. Since 1962 the Centrum has also complemented this central task by collaborating on the core tasks of the Rubenianum.
A partnership of two research institutes
Since 2012 the Rubenianum has collaborated with the RKD (the Netherlands Institute for Art History) to make art-historical documentation digitally accessible.
The Flanders art libraries platform (OKBV) brings together professionals from Flemish and Brussels libraries that document the arts. The Rubenianum has been an active member of its board since the OKBV’s establishment in 2000 and has chaired the platform since 2015.
To make its collections accessible, the Rubenianum collaborates with Anet, the Library Automation Team of the University of Antwerp.
Since 2004 the Rubenianum, the Rubenshuis and the Mayer van den Bergh Museum have worked within a permanent collaborative partnership.
