The annual congress will be held next year from 2 to 4 June in Antwerp, in collaboration with Rubenianum and the Ruusbroecgenootschap (University of Antwerp).
The motto for 2019 is: "Antwerp as a European print factory". This expresses the intention that the focus will be on Flanders and especially on Antwerp as a historically important center for the production and dissemination of popular graphics.
Contributions can focus on themes such as book illustrations, popular prints, devotionalia, playing cards, comics, etc. Historical contributions on certain publishers, collections, print use and print trade are also welcome.
Duration of a presentation is 20 minutes. Language of introductions is English or German.
Interested paper presenters are requested to send an abstract of no more than one A4 (incl. a short bio) before 15 January 2019 to: Bild-Druck-Papier@web.de
