Project on the registration of early 17th-century Flemish landscapes (2015)

Almost 800 wood landscapes by Gillis II van Coninxloo, Abraham Govaerts, Jan I Breughel, Adriaen van Stalbemt and many other artists were added to the artwork database RKDimages. The project also included a study of the Antwerp painter Marten Rijckaert.

This project was made possible by a generous donation of funds. It greatly improved the online findability of early 17th-century Flemish landscapes. The eight-month project included preparations for a seminar and a publication in 2016.
